I create a space where you can not only relax, but also begin to notice and understand what your body is truly holding.
This work may be supportive for you if you notice tension in your body, recurring pain, or a desire for a deeper connection with yourself.

MER (Myofascial Energetic Release) is a trauma-informed bodywork method that supports the release of tension, including long-held patterns of stress and emotion.
This is not a classical massage. MER therapeutic bodywork goes beyond relaxation, focusing on what the body is truly holding and how it shows up as tension, pain, or recurring patterns.
It works with the fascia — the connective tissue network that links muscles, organs, and the nervous system. When tension is held in the body over time, it can begin to show up as pain (such as back pain), stiffness, or a sense of inner restlessness.
MER bodywork focuses on releasing physical tension that is often linked to unresolved emotional patterns. As this tension softens and begins to release, you may find yourself reconnecting with the colours of life and experiencing a deeper sense of ease and lightness.
Every session is unique
Like a tailored suit, carefully adapted to your individual needs. This is not just a massage, but a deeper process that weaves together conscious touch, breath or/and movement. One of the most important aspects of this therapy is the deep connective breathing.
At first, this may feel unfamiliar or even confronting, as this breathing technique can open access to deeper layers of the subconscious, where stored and sometimes uncomfortable emotions and experiences reside. Yet this is also where its healing potential lies — in allowing you to become aware of and gradually release what has been holding you back.

How does MER bodywork work?
Fascia (Latin for connective tissue) the fascia a soft, continuous network that runs throughout the entire body, supporting and connecting muscles and organs.
When tension builds up in the body, the fascia can become less flexible, which may lead to pain and limited movement. MER supports the release of this tension, helping the tissues regain their natural elasticity and mobility.
How to prepare for an MER fascia-based therapeutic bodywork session
If you're coming to a session for the first time, I'd recommend booking at least a 2-hour session. This will give us enough time to get to know your body in depth and to better understand what you need. It's important to come to a session in good health and to avoid taking painkillers for the 24 hours prior to your session, as these can numb your body's natural sensitivity and response to the session.

When a session may not be appropriate
- during pregnancy and in cases of clinically diagnosed mental health conditions (medical approval required)
following recent surgery (within the last 3 months), with approval from your healthcare provider
- if you are currently unwell (e.g. cold, fever, runny nose, or cough)
In such cases, it is best to fully recover before attending a session.

The MER massage I experienced under the hands of Bodhana Regina was unexpectedly powerful. I went with the intention of increasing my body's sensitivity and releasing the blockages in my body resulting from emotional trauma, which manifested in passivity and numbness. Indeed, 'something' was released in my back, shoulder blades, shins and even in my abdomen, although the abdomen was not massaged. I can now feel sensations even in those areas whose sensitivity had previously seemed to be switched off.
